this piece is so confessional and beautiful wow. the trad wife is built on the lie that they will remain forever in this state of workless bliss, yet the element of “danger” is never shown. when women get older, or divorced, or unattractive by societal standards, the illusion of trad wife is exposed yet never advertised as part of the package, and this piece does such an amazing job showing that reality! cyn, congratulations!!

thanks for reading nick!! I’m so glad u liked it. yeah the aesthetic always feels locked in a time capsule for me. for the influencers they mention their husbands help out in other way + content creating has given them an independent or 2nd income. but I’m unsure how viewers interpret this as they would be entering into the dynamic without that safety net? (esp for latinas as we’re just starting to push tho grad rates for higher ed + exit home). but I could go on forever about the para socialness of this.
